CONSULTANCY FOR COMMUNITY GROUPS, SMALL BUSINESSES AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISES.
Now more than ever, it's essential that community projects get off to a solid start to ensure a successful future. Funding is still available, but to earn it you must prove that you won't need it for ever... projects must work towards becoming self-sustainable.
We want to see you succeed, and we can help you to achieve success by examining all aspects of your ideas, and planning the process from beginning to end, making sure you don't set yourself up for any nasty surprises. We'll break down your plans into acheivable goals, so that you can build on your successes step-by-step.
And, we won't charge you the earth just because you have funding! We want to see you spend as much of that money as possible on achieving your goals.

M.A.C.C.A. SOCIAL ENTERPRISE Mullaghmore and Castleview Community Association serves 2 large estates on the outskirts of Omagh, Co. Tyrone. Founded in 1979 as a voice for estate residents, the group went on to build a community centre, where it now provides a wealth of services to local people. We were privileged enough to work with them in 2011.
The group established a very succesful allotment project in 2009, and have decided to use the sale of allotment produce as a starting point fora community social enterprise, offering opportunities for business and learning. Starting with a full community consultation, liaising with local residents and user groups, we developed a five-year business plan based on their needs and ideas. This includes a step-by-step plan of works for each year, and full financial projections. We are also on hand for advice and backup throughout the first year of operation. With sustainability as it's goal, the project will start small and gradually build on its successes, acting as a hub for local micro-businesses.
Including plans for an education programme, hot-desks, a weekly market and a community cafe, the project will create 2 part-time permanent jobs which will become self-funding. Starting in September 2011, the first step will be the weekly market... with lots of delicious food for sale straight from the allotments!
