SMALLHOLDERS FAIRS. For us, it's great to see that so many people are making the choice to produce food at home. Whether they have a small garden or a big patch, a few veggies or hens or a whole backyard farm, more people are homesteading now than we've ever seen before.
That's all great.... but we are also aware that for a lot of people, it can be harder than they thought. People need to learn new skills, get plenty of information and meet up with people who are doing the same and can share their experiences. We also know that for many people, the cost of a full-day or weekend course is just too much. So, we wanted to create a fun, affordable event where people could get all the advice they need, and all the equipment, and have fun without it costing an arm and a leg. It's a simple idea... you pay once, coming through the gate, and it's as cheap as we can make it. After that, all workshops, talks and demonstrations are free, and you can go to as many as you like. Kids get in for free, and there are cheap activities available for them all day, plus plenty to eat and drink, so you can make a family day out of it. Our next smallholders' fair is planned for autumn 2012, but we would be happy to discuss running the event at other venues. We would love to see you if you are selling;
TOOLS * BOOKS * SEEDS * GARDEN PLANTS * CHICKEN COOPS * PIG ARKS * LIVESTOCK EQUIPMENT/FEED * ORGANIC GARDEN PRODUCTS * HOME PRODUCE
Stalls selling HENS * BONHAMS * GOATS * STORE LAMBS are also very welcome, but you MUST have a valid herd number, and you cannot sell any stock on the day without completing the necessary paperwork. Animals must be contained in a suitable enclosure, and must have access to plenty of fresh clean water. If you'd like to sell animals, please CONTACT US to discuss your needs.
